Gifted and Talented is for students in grades 4-6 that have shown exceptional ability and talent in specific areas, including academics, art, music, and leadership. Identification in the gifted and talented program requires an academic assessment or a professionally reviewed portfolio for non-academic areas. Multiple measures, including assessments and teacher recommendations, are used to determine identification in the gifted and talented program. Students will be provided with learning opportunities that are challenging and related to their area of giftedness. Students can apply for 212 Academy at the end of 4th grade.
