The psychological needs of children and young people are vast and complicated. I have for a while believed that we can change the whole culture of teenagers feeling like the world is against them. Why do they become disengaged with learning and education? What is happening and when, for young children to go from excited confident learners into anxious and sometimes angry teens?
Metacognition is the awareness and understanding of one's own thought process. Our thoughts link to our emotions and actions. The combination of our thoughts, emotions and actions affect our well-being.

During the global pandemic when schools were closed we developed a wellbeing website full of enrichment activities to help develop personal skills and mental well-being. This site can be used for any extension activities to compliment lessons about well-being. You can also recommend students start any of the activities if you notice they need help. These activities can help with self care, resilience, health and nutrition, mindfulness and creativity.
