There are lots of ways you can prepare yourself for an exam so that you feel as calm as possible.
Obviously revising is key, being prepared is the most important thing.
However you should also be preparing yourself mentally for the challenge. Your attitude and thoughts matter.
Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body. Those things that happen when you are stressed, such as increased heart rate, fast breathing, and high blood pressure, all decrease as you breathe deeply to relax.
Take time before a lesson or Exam to visualise success.
Visualise yourself being the Student you want to be.
During a lesson or Exam visualise the desired outcome of a situation or conversation.
