Command words are the words and phrases used in exams and other assessment tasks that tell students how they should answer a question.
The following command words are from Ofqual’s official list. In this context, their meanings are relevant to Drama.
Those in red indicate the command words that will be used to frame the questions in Component 1 - The Written Exam.
Set out characteristics of something
Set out purposes or reasons
Look at the information provided and break it down to identify and interpret the main points being raised
Make a judgment from the evidence available
These words are used in the guidance and instructions for creating your performance pieces for Components 2 & 3 and in the writing of your logbook for Component 2.
