Everyone at Chesterton will be involved in the Edible Playground. We have developed our plans so that pupils from Nursery to Year 6 will get involved. Here is a quick overview of what each year group will be planting...

• • Reception - Mixed brassicas

  • Year 1 - Winter salad and broad beans

  • Year 2 - Onions, garlic and oriental salad from seeds

  • Year 3 - Perpetual spinach, chard and broad beans

  • Year 4 - Winter salads and broad beans

  • Year 5 - Brassicas from seedlings

  • Year 6 - Over wintering peas and strawberry plants
