Online Resources

Wandell School utilizes the following online resources to enhance and support student learning.  

ClassLink LaunchPad Students log into their LaunchPads using their Wandell school usernames (first initial last name, ie lkilgallen) and passwords (can be obtained from classroom teacher. CLasslink provides users with One Click Single Sign-on, simplifying access to learning and administrative resources. School files, once the domain of floppy disks, have now spread across hard drives, network shares, and cloud storage. ClassLink solves the problem of too many passwords, and too many files scattered about. It’s a one click single sign-on solution that gives students access. Most if not all of our Wandell Programs work best when accessed through the Launchpad.

World Book Online- Fascinate student researchers with thousands of articles and multimedia aligned to curriculum. BookFlix® is a digital literacy resource that pairs more than 120 animated stories from Weston Woods with a best-selling nonfiction eBook from Scholastic on a similar subject. The fiction and nonfiction pairings are designed to strengthen early literacy skills while exposing young learners to real world concepts.

IXL  is an adaptive & individualized, Standards-based learning program. Students will master 2000+ K-12 Math skills online with proven success.  Students are give immediate feedback to improve their math skills.

Savvas is a learning management system that gives 'digital natives' the learning experience that they have come to expect. It is the online destination for standards-aligned math and science content, flexible class management tools, and embedded assessments that deliver rich data instantly to teachers for our math  and science programs.

Learning A-Z  helps students and teachers introduce efficient game-based study of literacy skills using any word list.

Google for Education- Google Apps is a core suite of communication and collaboration applications that allow students to work from any device on documents and projects. Once a school registered email address is registered with Google Apps for Education, teachers and students can unlock Google's apps with one login.

BrainPop is a group of educational websites with over 1,000 short animated movies for students in grades K-12, together with quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English, mathematics, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music. Brainpop and BrainpopJr. can be accessed here or from your students "Google Waffle" and Classlink Launchpad for complete access.  Please make sure you use your child's Google credentials to sign in.
