My Goals For All Students

learn new vocabulary
build familiarity with grammar in the language they're learning

Welcome to French Class!

Bonjour! I am Mrs. Mendiola, but students also know me as Madame, Madame Mendiola, or simply Mrs. M. I am so excited to have your student in my class, and I can't wait to see how they grow over the next couple of years!

Here are a few things to know about my class:

Students are graded on a points system
- 1. In Aspen, you can see how many points each assignment is worth
  2. I offer retake options for tests/quizzes
Student participation is super important! In my class, participation includes:
- 1. Daily “Do Now”
  2. Speaking/Listening Activities
  3. Writing/Reading Activities
  4. Independent Practice (Duolingo/Conjuguemos)
Independent Practice is worth 20 points per week
- 1. Students have time in class to work on their independent practice so long as they use their time effectively
  2. Students are expected to keep track of their independent practice in their weekly logs
I care deeply about each and every student, and strive to make class as fun as possible!
- 1. Language learning should be an enjoyable experience for all students, so please continue to encourage your child’s learning⁠— you could even ask your child to teach you something they’ve learned in class!
