Homework is handed out in the homework folders every Monday, and homework is officially turned in each Friday.
Every night will usually consist of 30 minutes of reading and one math page. The reading can be any books/graphic novels your child has at home or the library books they check out of the school library weekly. Along with the 30 minutes of reading, they will do one "log" (at least 4 sentences) in their "Stop and Jot" Journal (see examples below). Each week there will be a new focus added to the log (For example one week might be summarizing what they read, another week may consist of finding character traits, etc.)
Virtually, every night there will be a Math page. They will tear the Math pages from their Home Connections workbook and compile into a packet due each Friday. Please DO NOT jump ahead in the Math Home Connections Workbook.
Occasionally there may be a Science/Social Studies assignment instead of a math assignment.
Students will be sent home at the beginning of the year with a Home Connections Work Book. If you misplace any pages, click on the icon to access the workbook PDF. If family members would like the answer key to this workbook to check your child's math work, please request it from me via email.
Math cheat sheets are sheets/videos that can help families and students with understanding what we are learning in math, and they can be used to help students/families with the math homework.
**More resources/Units will be added as the school year progresses!
