There are heaps of scholarships out there, with different opening/closing dates. Some are specific to a subject, some an area and some are specifically for Maori and Pasifika students. It’s up to you to search and apply for them and it is always a good idea to get someone to check through your application. Available to students who are undertaking tertiary study for the first time in 2026. The scholarship applies to most tertiary courses.
Applications usually open in August and close in October.

Applications for costs associated with starting an approved apprenticeship should be made on the general application form. This can be found under the 'Documents' tab on the navigation bar and is titled 'TET Application Form for Grant April 2024'. These can be lodged at any time during the year, however, the applicant must be a student at school at the time that the application is submitted.
