Mrs Hodgkinson (HG)

Kia ora!  Ko Shirree Hodgkinson tōku ingoa . 

In 2024 I joined Waiopehu College as Head of Mathematics.  Although I have spent the last 10 years in Nelson, I have almost come home to where I grew up in Feilding.  My new mokopuna were the drive for my return and I feel extremely lucky to now call the beaches of Horowhenua my home.

I am passionate about teaching and learning and continuously strive to improve both my teaching practice and supporting my colleagues.  My drive is to ensure all students have the opportunity and inspiration to succeed in their mathematics journey.

In mathematics my aim is that you as a student will feel like you belong, your learning is valued and you enjoy the beauty of mathematics in a variety of ways.
