Junior Pop-Up Globe Trip 2018

Valentine’s Day was an opportunity for a group of Year 9 and 10 students to consider the power and magic of love at The Pop-Up Globe. This year’s performance, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, was packed with humour, kiwiana and energy. The star-crossed lovers were flanked with a cast of forest faeries dressed in traditional Māori costume, speaking Te Reo. The cheeky Puck held us spellbound with his athletic choreography and kapa haka. The tradesmen were modernised, wearing hard hats and hi vis vests. This was a relevant, lively introduction to Shakespeare for our students. Like all Pop-Up to date - a truly memorable performance.

Thank you to Tanique Deacon for organising these trips. This is our third year in a row of experiencing the wonderful world of William Shakespeare.
