I'm a tele-therapist located in Iowa and I specialize in, and enjoy working with, neurodiverse individuals including ADHD and Autism Spectrum. Whether you need some additional support, are looking to support someone in your life, or are looking to explore the potential for the presence of neurodiversity, I am here to meet you where you are.
As someone diagnosed with ADHD myself, I strive to bring an extra level of understanding and compassion to our work together, while never assuming that any two people's experiences are the same. I enjoy using humor and creativity in my practice, and I value the importance of challenging my clients to reach their full potential. Together we will work to achieve personal growth while emphasizing self-acceptance and healthy expectations in a neurotypical world.
I also offer specialization in sport and health psychology, and I enjoy incorporating these methods into the challenges of daily life. I have experience working with athletes of all levels from high school, to college, and beyond. Whether you are experiencing performance anxiety, chronic injury, motivational challenges, weight related concerns, or identity concerns after an athletic career, I am confident we can work together to achieve your goals.
I'm not one to pull the weed that's above ground and send you on your way. I often take the approach of exploring and addressing the root of the cause of your concerns to ensure you see the greatest potential for long term growth.
When not in session, I spend my time with Sarah and our two dogs. I'm a video game enthusiast. I like building my own Lego creations, and really enjoy maintaining the aquarium in my home office.
I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the client and therapist relationship. I want to make sure you find the right fit for you to thrive. I offer free 15-minute consultations if you have any questions or would like to chat and see if I might be the right therapist for you. I hope to hear from you soon!
