What is Move-A-Thon? 

Move-A-Thon (formerly) Globe Trot is typically the PTA’s largest fundraiser of the year. Money raised by the PTA support class field trips, teacher grants, student snacks, playground equipment and more! This year we are raising money for Yearbooks for ALL. Wade King PTA is also proudly part of the Bellingham Public Schools Equity Fund, helping to support all students and schools in the Bellingham School District. 

Who: All Wade King students

What: Each class will have 20 minutes (PreK & K get 15) to run, skip, & walk as many laps as they can!

Where: The 1/10th of a mile loop by the playground & play shed

When: Fundraising March 22 - May 3

Event held Friday, April 19 during school (class schedule coming)

Be your child’s biggest fan. Come to the event and cheer them on!

Why: This year, the PTA granted $15,000 directly back to our school! Those funds bought new recess equipment, books, new writing curriculum for 3-5th grade, funded choir, new PE equipment, art supplies, and much more! In addition to special grants this year, we continue to support IB enrichment, community events, and student & staff needs.

What are we Raising Funds for?

The PTA supports learning and community building opportunities at Wade King.  We hope to raise $20,000 to provide yearbooks for all students at no cost. Remaining funds will be used to support future field trips, classroom supplies, community events, and fulfill staff supply needs.
