Wade King PTA Supports-
International Baccalaureate—The PTA is an enthusiastic supporter and partner in the IB program here at WK—the first authorized Primary Years Program in Washington state! We will continue to invest in library resources, materials to support units of inquiry for grade levels & family education, and more.
Extracurricular & Family Fun Activities—such as the Talent Show & World Tour.
Teacher Support—A PTA grant for classroom supplies and field trip expenses for each teacher.
Enrichment—administering and offsetting the cost of field trips, Chess, Art, Math Olympiad, Chinese culture & language, etc.
Technology—supplemental technology and tools that fall outside district budgets (eg, Lego robotics)
Fundraising—How to pay for it all? Our annual Globe Trot is our most effective fundraiser to support PTA programs and school needs. PTA also manages ongoing fundraising like Box-Tops, Amazon Smile, Fred Meyer, and Donations.

PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school. Be part of the solution, help make positive changes. Membership dues also support our state and national PTA Organizations for child and youth legislative representation providing a voice to larger issues affecting all school communities.

About our meetings and what to expect-
PTA meetings are a fun, informal, and informative opportunity to connect to your child’s school, staff, other parents and guardians, or escape your sink full of dirty dishes! People may come and go throughout the meeting where there will be laughter, a chance to learn and be heard, and well, let’s be honest, opportunities to volunteer. If you can’t volunteer, that’s OK too, just let the sign-up sheet pass on by. In the meantime, you will hear about the new learning materials rolling out to the students and brainstorm ideas to foster community with our kids and families.
