The GMMS Tri-M Music Honor Society recognizes students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades who consistently display excellent character and have made consistent outstanding contributions to their performing ensemble. Students must exhibit cooperation with teachers and fellow students, loyalty and service to the school’s music program, and leadership characteristics. Students must demonstrate growth in musical ability, achievement and understanding, and maintain an overall average of at least a "B" in academic subjects and an "A" average in music ensembles. Students must meet the enrollment, performance, and ensemble requirements in order to be invited. The induction ceremony coincides with Vernon Township School District's Annual Art Show, ArtStanding, generally held in May.

Student must be in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade.
Student must maintain an average of at least a B in academic subjects and must have an A average in music ensembles.
Student must meet the enrollment, performance, and honors ensemble requirements.
