National Junior Honor Society

The GMMS National Junior Honor Society recognizes students in 7th and 8th grade who exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 92 to meet the scholarship criterion. Students who meet that criteria will be asked to complete a Candidate Form where they will list their leadership and service activities. Students will also be required to submit a brief essay explaining how they have demonstrated good character and citizenship, both in school and in the community. Once selected for induction as a member, students are expected to uphold the standards on both the local and national chapters of the National Junior Honor Society and must participate in meetings and activities throughout the school year. The National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony will be held in the Spring of 2023.
