Task forces created action plans and worked with a Resource Team to identify next steps.
Johnson community members come together in an interactive community conversation on challenges, assets, visions for the future and ideas for action. Then we will break for a community dinner followed by an interactive process that invites participants to identify the community status in terms of Basic Needs & Services; Community Connections & Capacity; Environment & Natural Systems; and Physical Infrastructure. A listening team of federal, state, business, nonprofit and philanthropic leaders join the forums and dinner.
This session included a free community dinner featuring live music by the Ukeladies Duo.
A recording of the first community conversations can be found here.
In addition to the forums, you can share ideas before and after through this form.
Johnson community members come together to review and discuss the outcomes of the communities self assessment of resiliency. Then partake in championing ideas and vote to prioritize ideas for action shared in the first forums and through this form (collecting additional ideas until August 30th). Through dot-voting, participants will whittle down a list of action ideas to a few priorities, and have the opportunity to sign up for task forces on those top priorities.
A recording of the second community conversations can be found here.
At the Community Resource Meeting Johnson community members come together for the final step in the process. Task force groups, or re-vitalized existing groups, build action plans, set the scope of their work, and meet with a visiting team of resource providers and experts to identify available resources and funding opportunities.
This session includes a free community dinner and dessert, childcare provided. Carpooling is encouraged - bring your neighbor!
