Core Values

A mentor does not lie, our relationship with our clients are based on trust.

Self Determination

A mentor allows the client to do what they want to do, even if they disagree with it. We are not probation officers.

A mentor does what is right when no one is watching. We do what we say we are going to do.

A mentor is a role model. We wear our uniforms when we are acting as a mentor. We use appropriate language and we conduct ourselves in a manner that reflects well on the organization.

We try to see the situation from the perspective of the client.

As individuals we are strong but as an organization we are strongest. Share the workload with others and share information as appropriate.

It takes a veteran 12-20 months to graduate VTC. They will make mistakes along the way. We stay with our mentees unless there is a concern about safety.

Battle Buddies Arkansas strives to maintain and support diversity. We will not practice, condone, facilitate or collaborate in any form of discrimination based on ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, marital status, political belief, mental or physical disability, or any other preference or personal characteristic, condition or state. We strive to affiliate with other organizations that share these values and will not engage in partnerships with individuals or organizations that practice discrimination.
