The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a national organization of students interested in physics. They don't need to be physics majors (many members major in mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, etc.), the only requirement is that you are interested in physics!
To quote their purpose and mission, "SPS is a chapter-based society that exists to help students transform themselves into contributing members of the professional community."
Membership is done by chapter per university or institution. We're proud to say that Virginia Tech's SPS chapter is currently the largest in the United States!
