WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR ONE MORE THING!!!!
Let's talk about the "elephants" in the room...
Why have a team that focuses on the wellness of students and staff, especially when there is barely time to cover all of the academic requirements?
What team or teams already do some of this work, because there is no time for another team?
Who will be in charge of this work, since this is not a teacher's area of expertise?
How will getting staff buy-in be possible, especially since teachers aren't evaluated on this work?
If we have a team or teams already doing some of this work, how can we collapse the teams to make it more effective and efficient?
Do we need a team for each level/tier of work - universal/whole school, targeted/groups, intensive/individual?
What is the team's/are the teams' vision & mission and how does it align with the school's?
Who needs to be on this/these teams - including family members, youth and community partners?
Who is this/are these team (s) serving - students, families, and staff?
Who should lead this team/these teams - does it have to be staff trained in mental health?
What is the meeting structure & process?
What are the roles and responsibilities of all team members?
What data does/do the team(s) use to make decisions?
How does/do the team/team(s) communicate effectively?
What barriers might prevent this work from moving forward?
