Payment

This year's camp fee is $335, which includes meals and lodging for five days and four nights, a camp t-shirt, and all class/activity supplies.

Your camp registration is not complete until you have also submitted payment.

Extension staff will notify families by email whether a child received an available space, or if they've been placed on a waiting list. Once confirmed your child has a spot, you must submit full payment, or a scholarship application with deposit, within two weeks of this notification, or your space will be released to the next family in line.

Payment

Please watch for an email once you have registered your child for camp. Each County will provide specific instructions to pay the full payment of $335. For those opting to pay with checks, please include the name of the camper in the memo section and make payable to "Treasurer of VA Tech." Mail or drop off at the desired County address below. There is a $50 fee for returned checks.

Refund Policy

If GHP 4-H Camp at Jamestown 4-H Educational Center is cancelled by us, or by the state or federal government, fees will be fully refunded. Between 2 weeks before and up to the day of camp, if for medical reasons youth are not admitted into camp, a refund minus the required $50 deposit will be provided. If youth have to leave camp once they have checked in due to an exposure, a partial refund will be prorated and granted.

*For Hanover County - credit card payment refunds minus deposit of $50 and $10 credit card fee (a total of $60) will be granted if camp is canceled by us, or by the state or federal government OR for medical reasons youth cannot be admitted into camp.

If for some reason other than those noted above your family decides not to send your child to 4-H camp, you may receive a refund less $50 if you cancel in writing by June 1, 2022. No refunds after June 1, 2022, unless a specific situation as noted above exists. $50 fee for returned checks.

Limited scholarships are available for those with a financial need. Please submit a Scholarship Application and deposit to secure a spot for your child. After receiving your request, we will be in touch to let you know if we can approve your scholarship request and what amount you should send in for your final camp payment.
