Make plans to attend the 2026 FutureHCI Workshop hosted by the Center for Human-Computer Interaction at Virginia Tech. Located on the Blackburg, Virginia campus in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, the workshop provides opportunities for researchers in human-computer interaction to present preliminary research and receive feedback, propose new analysis methods and ways of understanding data, and discuss future directions for the research community. Networking opportunities will allow attendees to find shared interests and new collaborations, bridge knowledge gaps through diverse perspectives, and stay current on future trends in the broader HCI community.
To help make the workshop broadly accessible, there is no fee ($0 USD) to register for FutureHCI '26.
However, authors will be responsible for their own publication costs, and attendees will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation and own meals and refreshments. See below for details.
Furthermore, attendance will be limited to the first 300 registrants. See below to register.
ACM has introduced a new open access publishing model for the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). Authors based at institutions that are not yet part of the ACM Open program and do not qualify for a full geographic waiver will be required to pay an article processing charge (APC) to publish their ICPS article in the ACM Digital Library.
