YEARBOOK SALE!
🌟DIBELS MOY (Middle of the year) to EOY (end of the year) Incentive!🌟
We’re thrilled to announce a fantastic incentive for our K-3 students! 🎉 All students who meet their individual End-of-Year composite goal, or remain at or above benchmark, will earn an awesome reward! And here’s the exciting part: all students who reach their goal will be treated to a fun pizza party 🍕 and receive a free dress pass to redeem on the day of their choice! 🧑🎤
Our AR Reading Challenge has been going strong all year, and we want to take a moment to remind families about this ongoing weekly incentive that encourages students to build strong reading habits.
Each week, we track AR reading progress by homeroom. In each grade level, the class with the highest number of AR points earned for the week is recognized and rewarded.
🎉 Weekly Reward:
Winning students earn an extra snack from the snack cart
Your continued support at home makes a big difference! Encouraging your child to read daily and stay engaged with their AR goals helps build confidence, comprehension, and a lifelong love of reading. Thank you for partnering with us to keep reading a priority all year long! 📖🌟
Our ZEARN challenge has been in place all year, and we want to take a moment to remind families how important consistent lesson completion is for student growth in math.
Each week, classes in every grade level are working toward the following goal:
At least 80% of students in the class complete 3 or more on-grade-level ZEARN lessons. The class with the highest number of on-level lessons completed, while meeting the 80% participation requirement, earns an extra snack from the snack cart for the week.
Your continued encouragement and support at home truly make a difference. Helping students stay consistent with their ZEARN lessons builds strong math habits and supports their success in the classroom.
🌟 Shining Stars Celebrations! 🌟
We’re thrilled to launch a new event at Cecil Picard to honor our Star Students each month who consistently demonstrate integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility. Join us in celebrating their hard work and positive impact! Please note, this once a month celebration will be replacing our STAR student breakfast. The next STAR student celebration is March 30, at 8:15AM.
Attendance Matters—Every Day & On Time!
Being at school and on time each day helps our Jr. Patriots start strong and stay on track with their learning. Morning routines and first lessons set the tone for the day, and every minute counts. We understand that sometimes children may be too sick to attend, and we want them to stay home to rest and recover when that happens. Otherwise, we encourage all students to be present and ready to learn each day. Thank you for helping your child build strong habits and make the most of every school day!
PreK Vet Visit!
Lucky Charms + math = a magically fun St. Patrick’s Day!
Mrs. Nicole's class sorted and graphed marshmallows—hands-on learning with a little snacking too!
3 more students in Mrs. Jennifer’s ELA classes got to ring the bell for 20 and 40 AR points! So proud of all the growth in reading this year!
Students who met their AR goals for the 3rd nine weeks were celebrated in style! They enjoyed a fun time in the library with chips, juice, and games as a reward for their hard work and dedication. We are so proud of their commitment to reading—keep it up!
Congratulations to our sweet 2nd grader, Lillian Placher, for reading 500,000 words in AR!!!
Half a million words in SECOND grade — wow!! We are so proud of your hard work and love for reading, Lila! Keep shining, Jr. Patriot!
