Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

Starting school is one of the biggest milestones in a child’s life. Volusia County Schools is pleased and honored to welcome you and your family as your child gets ready to start school.  We believe all children can learn and should have access to quality early learning experiences that will support their developmental growth.  Our Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program will prepare your child for Kindergarten and lay a strong foundation for future academic success.

To be eligible to participate in Volusia County Schools’ Voluntary Pre-K program your child must be 4 years of age by September 1 of the school year in which he or she would enroll and you must reside in Volusia County.
