This clip deals entirely with the hypothetic outcome of the Cold War. As mentioned, multiple times in the scene, it is clear to the heads of the corporations that capitalism is the savior of the future (3). The meeting is a perfect example of how the US could have used nuclear warfare for capital gain. It's almost warning us that if all the big corporations collaborated, it could be the most detrimental thing to the world. Secondly, It is also worth noting the man at the conference said, "The ultimate weapon of mass destruction is time," using the reference "ultimate weapon of mass destruction" which was used during the Cold War to talk about nuclear bombs. During the meeting, the idea of each corporation being given a vault stirs conversation about how the vaults will be managed. This further relates to the Cold War, as it displays how ideological conflict can escalate to something worse, as most of the corporations had terrible ethical ideas of how to run the vaults.
