While my exhibit focuses primarily on connections between nuclear warfare, capitalist gain, and the effects of propaganda, each object represents far more than the primary details talked about. The shocking number of parallels that could be drawn between the show and the historical event of the Cold War is astounding. From the message to the visuals to even the music, the Fallout show does an amazing job of making the situation seem highly real and practical, which is why it appeals to so many people. Because the show takes place in the future while connecting closely to an event of the past, the show serves to entertain while almost warning us about future conflict due to disagreement of ideas and the dangers of capitalism and big corporations. My exhibit encourages viewers to reflect on history and consider its implications for our future.
