VJC is one of the centres for the MOE Humanities Scholarship & Programme (HSP). The HSP offers scholars with the opportunity to immerse themselves in various disciplines that study aspects of human society and culture.
This scholarship is offered to top Pre-University 1 students who have achieved outstanding academic results and excelled in co-curricular and other activities. VJC offers support for the application and interview phases of the MOE Pre U Scholarship application.
This scholarship is awarded in Pre-University 1 to students admitted to the French/ German/ Japanese/ Spanish Language Elective Programme (LEP).
This scholarship is awarded to Pre-University students who have strong foundations in mathematics and science, with an inclination towards applied, interdisciplinary and hands-on learning.
The Regional Studies Programme (RSP) Scholarship is offered by MOE to encourage academically able and linguistically talented students to pursue H2 History, covering the developments in South East Asia under the Regional Studies Programme. VJC is one of just 3 junior colleges offering the RSP.

The VJC Scholarship is awarded to Victorians who have achieved outstanding academic results and have shown excellence within and beyond the classroom by displaying motivation, leadership, emotional maturity, resilience, and sound interpersonal qualities.

How does VJC support the Humanities Scholarship Programme?
As a HSP Scholar, you will be immersed into VJC's very own Arts Enrichment, Scholarships and Outreach Programme (AESOP) where you will have the opportunity to forge your own humanities narrative through various programmes.
The enrichment opportunities for a HSP scholar would include:
Cohort Project on a humanities topic the humanities cohort is interested in (eg. oral history, place making)
Local learning journeys
Humanities symposiums
Fireside chats with VJC Arts alumni
Overseas Enrichment Programme (eg Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan)

"The LES allowed me to further immerse myself in a language and culture that I have always been passionate about. The ability to enhance my spoken spanish ability on a weekly basis certainly was useful as linguistic mastery has always been something important to me. What can the Regional Scholars Programme (RSP) class look forward to at VJC?
The RSP local enrichment programme includes culinary experiences, cultural performances and a trip to the region such as Indonesian cities of Surabaya, Solo, Yogyakarta and Bandung. The RSP aims to nurture a group of students comfortably conversant in Malay Language or Bahasa Indonesia and with an understanding of culture and contemporary development in the nearby region.
