In this project we were redesigning our bedroom by using Taiwan automation resources.
~Our driving question is" How can we use Scientific principles to design a sustainable environment?".
~My driving question is "How can I change the feng shui in my room by using Taiwan local automation resources without polluting the environment?"
Our SDG is 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. It talks about building new infrastructure, Promote industrialization economy, innovating new automated machine, and developing sustainable community.
How SDG 9 connect to my driving question? SDG9 is about Promoting and developing new automation and industrialization's economy. I change the feng shui by using automated light, so it connect to the SDG.
What I learned was I knew how to create my bedroom 3D model, learned what is feng shui, and used automation machine to change my bedroom and make it better.
We worked in groups to measure, and draw the layout of our classroom.
We made the mood board to show what our bedroom would be look like after redesigning the bedroom.
I used computer to create the layout of my bedroom.
This is the layout that is being redesigned.
We drew the process diagram to show how the automated light works.
What could I improve?
I will research more information, because I think there are more things for me to learn. At least, I think my automated light can be more improved if I add a voice detector.
I think I have to prepare a sheet to review while I was presenting this project, because I made a big mistake when I am presenting last time.
If I do this again I will redesign my bedroom layout , I realized I haven't mark the length and width.
Collaboration and Feedback:
While I am practicing my presentation with my classmates. Aria gave me some advice like she thought the way I talk was unclear and too short. Therefore, I tried to catch myself and speek it more clearly and easy to understand.
How does this connect to other classes?
Learning Math and English can help me get better at learning and creating new ideas for my PBL projects. We use math to solve problems in PBL and use English to explain the topic to make the world a better place.
This was the classroom before redesigning and there were no eco-friendly AC and lockers.
This is the classroom after redesigning. The feng shui is better than before and we also add a restful area for us to rest when we are tired.
Here are the questions that we asked from teachers about the classroom. We used these comments to redesign a better classroom.
This is the Logic Diagram of our automated AC.
Peer Feedback (from Ken):
My Peer feedback was gone, but I still remember what he sayed to me.
While I was presenting the project, Ken wrote down the comments for me. He said "I didn't look at the canva, loudly, and clearly."
Final Presentation
This is our group's final presentation.
Collaboration & Feedback:
While I was practicing my presentation in class, Ken said that I needed to use more hand gestures and have better eye-contact. So, I practiced at home. I’m very grateful for his feedback because, during my presentation, I kept reminding myself to do both. So... I got a good grade on this project.
