What I learnt in this unit:
Real number: It's a way to classify number, e.g. Natural number, Whole number, Intergers, Rational number, Irrational number, Real number.
Square Roots: ✔️x ( ✔️36 = 6 )
Powers & Scientific Notation: 6000 = 6 x 10^3
Rates and Ratios:
Rates: Compares to different things ( distance to time), e.g. Driving 65 miles per hour.
Ratios: Compares x-with-x ( apple to orange), e.g. In a class with 13 boys and 17 girls, the ratio of boys to girls is 13:17.
What is the most challenging part: I have to do extra reseach on these words because I want to have a complete note for math.
My opinion: I think learning these thing could be useful in the future.
My math notebook ( real number)
We do a cool project, a project that has to do a research for a planet or a star. I decided to do the research on "Betelgeuse" a star. We needed to find information such as its distance and how long it would take to travel there, and present it on the poster.
You know what? Actually, I really love universe. It's a beautiful place even though I don't know what it really looks like, I believe nothing can be more beautiful than the universe. If humans are able to go there in the future, I will definitely go and explore it.
If I do this project again, I will show more information to let the audience know more about this eye-catching star.
I do a lot of research on math.
Have a better ability to do an individual work on math.
