This is the flag of Malawi. The sun symbolizes hope and freedom. There are three stripes. The black stripe is for the African people. The red is for the blood shed when the Malawi people fought for independence. And the green stripe represents the vegetation.

This is William Kamkwamba. He born in August 5, 1987, in Kasungu, Malawi. He Build a windmill at the age of 14 using scrap materials, which generated electricity and helped irrigate crops in his village.

Gilbert was William’s good friend, William can’t go to school because his family issue, so William can’t go to school, but Gilbert his father is the chief of the village, so Gilbert’s home has money to let Gilbert go to school, but Gilbert was a good friend, he told William what he had learn in school. And help William make the windmill, William and GIlbert also help other to fix radio, So I think Gilbert is a good friend.(he is better than Steve)
