This was a fun exhibition for me, felt a bit fast but also a bit slow. Honestly it was a blur and not at all memorable. I think it's due to working with friends, time goes by when your having fun. I rate it a 7/10 (An extra point for acually finishing the project).

I really enjoyed this museum, and our class was lucky enough to get a guided tour through the prison, of course I couldn't understand so I had an english commentary device. The prison was gorgeous, in this weird horrific way, the idea that it once held hundreds of political prisoners, just for it to now be an educational place about what rights we deserve.
I managed to convince my team to explore a building other than the prison, this being the Court House. This was a kind of insightful, people weren't only held in the prison but there was a whole system, all of it being corrupt, this is kind of where our first game idea came.
So Me and my teamate Kevin came up with the idea of a Pheonix Wright inspired game called Court of Law, it would be a basic game where you have to figure out if someone is guilty or not guilty. This outline discussed the game and it's mechanics, and helped in getting me into the groove of working with my teamates. Funny enough one of our future team members, (who wasn't yet in our class) helped out in the creation of the outline.
I worked on the entire design for the outline, as well as the References, Images, Info on The Dilemmas, and Connection to Driving Questions. My favorite part was definitely the Research Notes, mainly cause searching around and helping my teamates research websites is always a joy in my opinion.

This was the first project with our new teamate Nathan. It was made with the idea that people can only learn if they have fun while doing it. But we focused a bit much on the fun and less on the game. So next time we need a good mix of engagment with teachings.
I personally helped the story board, game inspiration, wrote Dilemmas and Connections to the Driving Questions. And Research + Roses and Thorns
(This game Outline will come back later so I'll expand it there)
This was my favorite idea out of all our outlines, of course the problem with this was that it was only my favorite. The idea was far to out there even for me to write in an outline. I still think the idea of a game where you can't understand the language and must learn it through context clues could be used, but not for this project.
I made the majority of gameplay and story concepts.
See I told you it would be back. As you can see we used the old idea but made it story focused. Like a Telltale game. So ditching to looping gameplay, we replaced it with just the story ideas. That are enhansed

We managed to make three games, one from me, one from Nathan, and one from Kevin. We chose the best one being nathans to display, but Kevin's was used quite frequently for older audiences.
To make the game I started working on research and story, Kevin did art, and Nathan coded. Funny enough Kevin's art was only used in his own version of the game. We chose to use scratch rather than unity for our work but that ended horribly cause, you won't believe this, block coding is worse than normal coding.
I learned quite alot but at the same time less then other PBL projects. I'm probably just getting more used to this PBL concept. But I did learn alot about the history of taiwan, and that was so intresting.
If I could restart, I would get us all into one unity project, I would lead art and story, while I get Kevin to help on both coding and art. So rather than three just ok games, we would have one amazing one.
With the project that we have, I'm gonna go in and spruce it up with some nice graphics. Also since I wrote the story, I semi-based it off of my extended family, and it is very much how they would treat being in a situation like this. So it corralates to my life and family (thats why the game doesn't have a grandpa, he has stolen money and ran over his neighbor).
If you wanna try the game we showed at exhibition click here
