Expectations

Students are required to work throughout the quarter to complete several different assignments. Depending on the length of the quarter, class dynamic, class size, and weather, students may create two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional works of art. Students may create works using clay, oil pastels, paint, pencil, marker, etc. Students will study several different artist and techniques while creating their' masterpieces. Assignments can take several weeks to complete. Once a due date has been set for any given assignment, the grade is averaged in as a zero until said assignment is completed and graded. Students will have five additional school days to hand in any assignments without penalty. If students choose to use this time, they will have to complete said assignments on their personal time (i.e. before school, after school, or during their' lunch period).

Students are provided time in class to complete the work assigned to them throughout the quarter. However, there are occasions when students do not have the opportunity to take full advantage of the time provided in class and need to complete some work outside of class. Descriptions and PDF's files have been provided for assignments students may work on at home.
