Outside of their regular Chorus period, students attend one pull-out, small group lesson on a 14 day cycle, which will be approximately 2-3 lessons per quarter.
The lesson schedule rotates to ensure that students do not miss the same class continuously. Students should only be missing the same class once per quarter or less.
Lessons are a required component of your child's grade. Students will be excused from a lesson if a classroom teacher requests that they stay in class for a test or presentation. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain a missed lesson pass from the classroom teacher and give it to Ms. Delli Carpini, so the lesson can be marked as excused. If Ms. Delli Carpini does not receive a missed lesson pass, the student will receive a 0 for the lesson.
In the event a student forgets a lesson or is absent on the day of a lesson, they may attend one of the Make-Up Lesson slots, which will be on the lesson schedule each month (MU).
The incorporation of Chorus lessons is a WONDERFUL, enriching opportunity for students. Learning in a small group setting will allow students to increase their musical literacy, address vocal technique in more detail and focus on nuanced performance practices in concert repertoire.
