Course and Graduation Requirements

The State of Illinois and the Virginia CUSD 64 Board of Education have outlined the following requirements to receive a HS Diploma.

Coursework Requirements:

• 4 years of English

• 4 year of Math (Algebra 1 and Geometry)

• 4 years of Science 

• 1/2 Civics 

• 1/2 Consumer Education 

• 1 American History 

• 1 World Geography

• 1 Fine Art Credit

• 1/2 Drivers Education

• 1 Foreign Language or Vocational 

• 3.5 Physical Education

• 1/2 Health

• 5.5 Electives

Total: 27 Credits

Other Requirements:

• Completed FAFSA or Non-participation waiver (completed Senior year)

• State ACT Test Score (taken Junior year)
