Incoming first-year students have several resources to their disposal to aid in the transition from high school to college. With a standardized business core curriculum, all business students take similar classes leading up to the end of their sophomore year. This structure allows for peer tutorship from upperclassmen to underclassmen who may need help understanding core concepts within these classes. Students can schedule individual one-on-one meetings with peer tutors, allowing them to flexibly learn. Click here to learn more about Peer Tutors.
Peer Advisors are trained upperclassmen students who have experience with course registration and have the ‘inside scoop’ on beneficial classes underclassmen should take. Alongside academic advisors, peer advisors offer flexible meeting times and quick consultations into classes underclassmen could most benefit from. Each peer advisor is assigned 12 underclassmen students. Peer Advisors teach underclassmen students how to navigate their CAPP report, Master Schedule, as well as Schedule Builder to craft their schedule. Click here to learn more about Peer Advisors.
