The VSB Mentor Program is a unique opportunity for VSB students to build a mentoring relationship with an alumni volunteer. Through one-on-one meetings, alumni volunteers help support their mentee’s career and professional development goals. The program begins during sophomore year and continues through junior and senior years. Both student mentees and alumni mentors opt into the program. Mentoring pairs are connected based on the student’s primary field of interest, desired work location, and mutual areas of interest. See more information about the program and student success stories here.
Also known as one-time mentoring, is a way for junior and senior mentees to leverage the mentor program and connect with another alumni mentor. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a student mentee to explore a role, industry, or learn more about working abroad, law school, getting an MBA, or more! Click here to learn more about flash mentoring.
Students are encouraged to meet and converse with faculty mentors that have a wealth of knowledge and expertise about their discipline. All four years, students can meet with faculty mentors to discuss declaring a major/minor, different career paths, finding opportunities, choosing courses, graduate schools, etc. See here for more information about faculty mentors and the faculty mentors for each major and career path.
