The teachers involved in the basic training and further training in logotherapy are:
Prof. Dr. David Attard, ECP, MA-CP, MBA studied Logotherapy in Italy, the Netherlands and Austria. He previously studied theology and psychology at the University of Malta; MBA at Maastricht School of Management.
David Attard previously led three addiction care institutions and was director of safety care for the Maltese government.
He has also held several international positions in Logotherapy and runs his own practice.
Drs. Pieter Hoekstra, ECP, MA-CP, ND, MD (AM) studied psychology at, among others, the European University for Psychotherapy in Vienna and at the Dutch Institute for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (NILEA). He graduated as Doctor of Naturopath Medicines (ND) from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines (IBAM). He previously obtained his degree in theology at Utrecht University and after his post-doctorate divinity courses was ordained in the Dutch Reformed Church (Nederlands Hervormd). Nationally and internationally, he has held various administrative positions in the Logotherapy world. Pieter has several publications to his name and gives lectures on Frankl and Logotherapy. He conducts an independent practice for Integral & Positive Health (meaning - psychology - naturopath medicine).
Dr. Willem J. Maas, ECP, MA-CP, founder of the Netherlands Institute for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis in 1989. He developed course materials for Logotherapy in Dutch, English and German language and trained new and experienced logotherapists in the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Austria for decades. He also trained Logotherapists from Malta and Turkey, making Frankl's approach available there too. Internationally, he has worked to promote the interests of Logotherapy as a school, for therapists and their clients/patients.
Drs. Jan van Dusschoten, ECP, MA-CP, BSW, Gestalttherapist, Gestalt- Supervisor, Logotherapeut and Master-coach. Jan has a practice in Utrecht (Netherlands) and has also been a teacher for many years at various therapy courses in the Netherlands and Slovenia. He specializes in, among other things, relationship therapy and provides training courses aimed at recognizing the existential origin of personality problems. He has worked for many years in various therapeutic mental health institutions. In addition, he teaches psychopathology, developmental psychology and DSM-5, provides live supervision and provides training. Awareness of what happens in contact is his primary focus and that from a phenomenological point of view. The connection of Gestalt and Existential Analysis form a fruitful alliance for Jan.
Dr. Michaela Pronk-Preuss studied medicine in Germany. She obtained her doctorate there and worked there as a doctor in a hospital. She has lived in the Netherlands since 1995 and worked for six years as a MD at the GGD in Amsterdam. Since 2006 she has worked as a MD in child and adolescent psychiatry, where she has specialized in the treatment and supervision of children and young people with ADHD/ADD. She also completed a 3-year training in psychotherapy for logotherapy and existential analysis in Germany and completed the training system therapy (family and relationship therapy) at the Amsterdam Institute for Family and Relationship Therapy. As a therapist and counselor she is inspired by the vision of Janusz Korczak and Viktor Frankl. Since 2012, she has worked with passion and enthusiasm as a doctor and systems therapist in her own practice M3, specialized in the treatment of ADHD in children and young people; families and relationships.
Anna-Maria Stegmaier, Mag. Logotherapist, president DGLE (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Logotherapie und Existenzanalyse); she works in particular with art therapy.
Frans Harms is Logotherapist en Nurse. Studied Logotherapy at the Süddeutsche Institut für Logotherapie in Fürstenfeldbruck (D) bij Elisabeth Lukas en Otto Zsok. Frans works as a manager in care for people with physical and multiple disabilities. As a professional, he has been weaving the principles of Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy into everyday practice for many years.

Prof. dr. Reinout E. de Vries (VU, Amsterdam) is specialized in personality psychology and focuses mainly on the measurement and effects of personality and related concepts (communication styles, leadership). Together with Kibeom Lee and Michael Ashton, he conducts a lot of research on the HEXACO personality model.
Dr. Berend Terluin (VU, Amsterdam) MD and developer of the 4DSQ (Four-Dimensional Symptom Questionnaire), translated and validated in 18 languages
Prof. Dr. Maggie (Machteld) van den Heuvel, University of Amsterdam (UVA), and Frankl-Fan. With her thesis: 'Adaptation to Organizational Change - The Role of Meaning-making and other Psychological Resources' she made a wonderful link between Labor and Sense-finding. She also makes beautiful visual art as a professional artist.
