In order to be admitted to this basic logotherapy training, requirements apply with regard to personal suitability, professional experience and previous level of education. These are:
a. personal suitability (to be determined in an admission interview by a learning logotherapist); in the event of rejection, an appeal can be lodged by means of a. a motivated and substantiated letter to the board of NILEA; the board can then decide to have a 2nd learning therapist and a board member of NILEA conduct a 2nd interview. No objection can be lodged against the decision of these two;
b. at least 3 years of professional experience (calculated at the end of the training) in a qualified basic profession - such as in the professional fields:
medicine
nurse
social work
psychotherapy (and/or other counseling therapies) pastoral care
education, (adult) education
coaching, management or other professions in which one works with people
Proof may be considered as evidence of professional experience, supported by multi-year volunteer work at a professional level, in the above-mentioned fields of activity;
c. at least a university degree, preferably in the field of health care or human sciences. The minimum required level is at least a completed Bachelor's degree (WO) or HBO diploma or equivalent. An academic level of thinking is therefore assumed.
After admission to the program and payment of the tuition fee, the student has access to the lessons. After successful completion of all units of study, a diploma can be obtained.
Exceptions entry requirements
With regard to points b. and c. exceptions are possible from the criteria where appropriate. This is at the discretion of the board, on the recommendation of the learning therapist(s).
Suspension or premature termination of the study
In the interim, the student may come to the conclusion that this study program is not the right choice for him/her. In that case, the obligations associated with the registration for the relevant block remain in force.
If the student is (temporarily) unable to participate in the reserved blocks or class day(s) due to illness or other drastic and impeding circumstances, an attempt will be made initially in consultation with the student to make up for the class backlog. If this is not feasible, a (partial) refund of tuition fees can be made, but not for accommodation costs. If the learning logotherapist or the board decides that the student cannot (temporarily) continue the study program on the basis of attitude, behavior or lack of suitability, this will be communicated to him/her in writing. In that case there will be no refund.
The costs for the training are paid per lesson weekend and amount to € 465.00 (including teaching materials). This excludes € 113.00 for a stay in the Abbey (3 days/2 nights).
