Suzumi lives with her mother in Cianwood City in Johto. Her sister, Porin, lives with their father in Hoenn. For the longest time, Porin only owned one Growlith, and her mom owned only a Finizen. Even though her father is a fisherman. One day he accidentaly caught a Feebas on one of his trips and gave it to Suzumi on her third birthday, who named it Lucy, since it was a girl. It was her first ever pokémon. She found it adorable and wanted to show it to people at school, but they all found it ugly. She was very sad and her relationship with Feebas became strange. She still loved her, went swimming with her and visited the sea together, but it wasn't as..happy? One day when they were walking on the beach, a Tentacruel attacked Suzumi, grabbing her by her legs and dragging her into the waters. She yelled for Lucy to help, and when she gathered her courage she used dragon breath and chased off the Tentacruel, saving Suzumi. She cried while hugging Lucy, and since then they became closer than they've ever been. About a year later, Feebas evolved into Milotic, casually overnight. She was very passionate about pokemon and challenging gym leaders from around Johto. Eventually she Suicune alongside her other awesome new pokémon, which with she went to the Pokémon League in Galar. On her way there she met three people who after some crazy event became her very best friends.

After the lastest lore drop, she has a star shaped scar on her chest on her heart, and a small vertical scar across her right eye
she's traumatized by a Tentacruel, which is banned from using in her gym by challangers, but she's also scared of any large pokémon like Pheromosa, and she also dislikes bug pokémon for no apparent reason
Her design is based on The Kimono girls and their eeveelutions, which is why Suzumi's design resembles Milotic so closely. When designing her younger look, I based it on Feebas and how I used to look when I was around that age.
I'm actually really obsessed with Milotic ever since I got compared to it by my friend, who then started writing all these lore documents. Yes, they're NOT written by me :)
She wears a bucket hat because it's actually a japanese fisherman hat, and it's shaped to look like cat ears to kinda...link back to original me ig
She has her own Water Gym, which she reconstructed from an old abandonned building. Said gym has a resting area for all her pokémon she cannot keep at home with her. Other trainers are encoureged to let their pokémon rest there aswell
In her gym, challangers are only allowed to use water pokémon. The challanger can decide on a 3v3 or 1v1. In a 1v1, Suzumi will use her Milotic instead. She encourages trainers to spend more time with their pokémon and learn their strengths, instead of relying on type advatange.
Some information is frequently changed in the documents. Main one being her name originally being Zuzu, but then being changed to Suzumi by my suggestion. Surname Sawa was added by friend himself.
