The logo is inspired by various elements from Zamboanga Sibugay's natural environment. The design represents the 13 coastal municipalities, from Tungawan to Olutanga, features the Christian, Muslim and indigenous peoples, and shows the three most important agricultural crops -- coconut, rice and rubber, in the province. The seas of the province are rich with fishes, shells, crabs, and shrimps found in mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and coral reefs throughout the province's coasts.

The slogan Abundang Dagat ug Yuta, Sibugay Molahutay celebrates the rich natural heritage of the province.
