Hands on training for basic Herpetofaunal survey and community outreach programs to create volunteers in the field of herpetology

Expected outcomes: 1. Gaining a general understanding of herpetofaunal surveys through fieldwork. 2. Encouragement to pursue research on amphibians. 3. Enhancement of teamwork skills. Adherence to deadlines. 4. Development of various skills such as community level questionnaire survey, Q-GIS based study site mapping, review writing etc.   5. Improvement of community outreach abilities. 6. Working with leading herpetologists of India. 7. Certification

Internship program of Epigenetics Laboratory at the Department of Environmental Science 

Expected outcomes: 1. PCR, RFLP - principle, methodologie, application & demonstration. 2. In- silico PCR, primer designing, hands on practice and troubleshooting. 3. In silico identification of restriction digestion sites, hands on practice and troubleshooting. 4. DNA quantification methods, gel electrophoresis, demonstration, hands on practice & troubleshooting. 5. Certification

Internship program at Estuarine and Coastal Studies Foundation on environmental assessment and further lab techniques

Expected outcomes:  1. Acquiring hands on skill of environmental assessment through local field survey. 2. Microscopic observation and image analysis skills. 3. Data analysis and instrumentation of gel elcetrophoresis & spectrophotometer. 4. Acquaintance with GIS and study map preparation using software. 5. Data representation. 6. Certification
