Dear colleagues, I am organizing a special issue "Advances in Parallel Robots and Mechanisms" on the Machines journal. This Special Issue will serve as a sharing platform for researchers and engineers to share and discuss the latest research results and explore the future developments of parallel robots and mechanisms. Papers are welcome on topics related to different aspects of structure design, modeling, simulation, optimization, control, and applications of parallel robots and mechanisms.

The China Instrument and Control Society announced the winners of the 2020 China Instrument and Control Society Science and Technology Award and Young Science and Technology Talent Award on 12/16/2020. The project "rigid-flexible fusion cable-drive high-speed robot technology and system" won the First prize of technological invention. Dr. Zhaokun Zhang is one of the main completers of this project.

Dr. Zhang won the Gold Award of the 1st National Machinery Industry Design Innovation Competition

From December 18-20, 2020, the finals of the first National Machinery Industry Design Innovation Competition jointly sponsored by China Machinery Industry Federation and China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Trade Union were held in Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province. The "Cable-driven high-speed parallel robot" project led by Dr. Zhaokun Zhang entered the final. Dr. Zhang defended on behalf of the project team, and finally stood out and won the gold award.

Our paper won the 2020 Outstanding Paper Award of Journal of Tsinghua University

Our paper "Digital workshopinformation model and its standardization (数字化车间信息模型及其建模与标准化)" was selected as the 2020 Outstanding Paper of the Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology). Dr. Zhaokun Zhang is the first author of the paper.
