We work together.
PI
Dr. Meng Zhang received her PhD in Cell Biology from Yale University where she studied post-transcriptional regulation during development. Following her PhD, she pursued an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and gained skills in bioinformatics and statistics. She then joined University of California, San Francisco as a postdoctoral fellow with a focus on prostate cancer genomics. With a strong and unique multi-disciplinary research background across both molecular and computational biology, she is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Emory University School of Medicine. Outside of lab she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and visiting local attractions.
Postdoc
Dr. Jiarui Li received her PhD in Cell Biology from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. With a strong multi-disciplinary background spanning cell biology, molecular biology, and epigenetics, she is currently dedicated to uncovering novel epigenetic and molecular pathways driving prostate cancer progression. Her research aims to identify and validate promising therapeutic targets to advance innovative treatments for prostate cancer. Outside the lab, Jiarui loves spending time outdoors—traveling, exploring scenic landscapes, and capturing the beauty of nature through her camera.
Research Specialist
Xuan earned his Bachelor of Medicine (MD equivalent) and Master of Surgery from Zhejiang University, where he also completed his clinical residency training in surgery. He is currently a Visiting Fellow at Emory University School of Medicine with the goal of becoming a physician-scientist in urology. His research investigates microproteins in prostate cancer, aiming to uncover novel regulatory mechanisms and functional smORFs with translational potential for clinical practice. Xuan enjoys traveling, playing table tennis, badminton, chess and making friends.
