Cancer Biology | RNA | Genomics
The Zhang lab focuses on understanding how RNA regulation is altered in cancer. We investigate changes in RNA transcription, processing, and translation within tumor cells to uncover how these processes drive disease. Our research integrates diverse approaches including clinical genomics, CRISPR-based functional genomics, and molecular and cellular biology.Â
Our overarching goal is to define the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor progression and therapy resistance, to identify novel, translationally relevant targets and to develop more effective therapeutic strategies to fight aggressive cancer.
