The Playmat helps you organize your cards during a Battle. When you use your cards you place them on your Playmat. Different kinds of cards are placed in different zones.
Each Player needs their own Playmat; place them together while in a Battle, The combined space is known as the BattleField (BF). While it is not required, this product can be bought separately to enhance the playing experience. Do note that it is only 1 half of the BattleField. The cards you Control are the cards on your side of the BattleField.
You can also Battle without using the BattleField as long as you remember where to place the cards.
There are 5 types of cards in this game: Unit Card, Item Card, Equip Card, Magic Card, and Map Card.
Unit cards are the most detailed ones since they seem to have more important information on the card and their layout. While all the other cards are similar, they lack on some portions of the of the Unit card, such as HP, PWR, SHLD, and Unit Type. Which makes it unique to the Unit cards.
Item cards are very simplified version of the card layout with just effect and cost for buying it at the Shop.
Equip cards look very similar to the Item cards, except they are used to be equipped to a Unit card. Some of these cards have the Starting Equipment section, which can be used at the beginning of a game.
Magic cards look very similar to the Equip cards, except they are used to be equipped to a Unit card to cast major attacks. Some of these cards have the Starting Magic section, which can be used at the beginning of a game.
Map Cards are the battlegrounds for the battles in FantaMythsy. Only 1 Map Card is used per match and is chosen at random from the first player's Map Cards. This card stays active on the BattleField for the remainder of the match and it's effect applies to both players.
Before starting a Battle, follow these steps. Also make sure you have all your extra items that your Deck might need, like a coin or counters.
You calculate battle damage based on the difference between the attacking unit and the target unit. If you attack your opponent's Unit Card you compare PWR vs SHLD and the difference is dealt/subtracted to the weaker number's HP. When a Unit's HP reaches 0, it is sent to the Drop Zone. If the PWR and SHLD are equal, then it is considered 0 damage. When using a Magic Card to damage the Opponent's Unit, the SHLD is not compared, the damage goes directly into the HP.
