Welcome to the Expense Tracker help center. Because our application functions entirely as an offline-first utility, here is what you need to know about managing your data:
1. Where is my financial data stored?
Your transactions, category settings, and budget limits are saved 100% locally on your own mobile device inside a secure internal database sandbox. No data is ever uploaded or synced to external cloud servers.
2. How do I back up my expenses?
To back up your data or view it on a computer, use the "Export Data" card on the settings screen. You can tap "Export CSV" to save a spreadsheet file, or "Export PDF" to generate a printable report straight to your device's Downloads folder.
3. How do I delete all my data?
If you want to wipe the app clean, you can reset all tables by going to your phone's Settings -> Apps -> Expense Tracker -> Storage -> and tapping "Clear Data".
