For first semesters Game Development. Our class was assigned to expand on Unity's Roll a Ball tutorial. I chose to focus on the games aspect of collection, where each level you're required to collect a specific amount of yellow cubes to continue to the next level (with a secret in the last level).
Previous builds
For the first tutorial version I chose to add a second blue collectable that opens a border to continue in the level.
After the tutorial I was really excited for what was to come, this whole assignment seemed like an amazing way to learn the basics of game design.
For our first "Sprint" I added a second level and a menu at the beginning.
After this sprint I realized that the game looked a bit bland, I took the next sprint to enhance everything I already made.
For the second Sprint I enhanced the menu, added animations and a pause menu.
I wasn't too happy with this sprint, I spent the majority working on features I already finished. I couldn't think of how to create a third level.
For the third Sprint I added a third level with a secret. I also changed a lot of smaller things, such as the main and pause menu.
For the final sprint (See top video) I worked on a secret 4th level and polished up what I could.
Overall, I'm really happy with the final product, the assignment as a whole was really fun.
