For second semesters Game Engine for Programmers. Our class was assigned to work on a 2d Unity Project over the course of the semester, split into 4 projects. While slightly challenging, I enjoyed the projects immensely and had a ton of fun. This project shows my skills in 2d development, as well as how well I do with Quest Management.
To the left there is a video of the full build of the project. Scroll below to find older builds and the credits for all the assets used.
While I didn't do any art I did all the programming.
Previous Builds
For first version of the project, we needed to have a moveable player and 3 levels that transition into one another.
The beginning of the project solidified my enjoyment for 2d game development, I was really excited for what was to come.
For the second version of the project, we needed to add a main menu, a pause menu and a user interface.
UI is something I really enjoy working on, this specific version was the quickest to develop of the four.
For the third version of the project, we had to add working character animations, and track what the players last input was to have them face in the right direction.
For the final version (See top video) we had to add a Quest system with objectives and changing dialogue.
I am really happy with the final product, the assignment was one of the most enjoyable projects in the whole semester.
