I have been teaching 8th grade U.S. history at Carrollton Public Schools sine 2009. Carrollton has been a phenomenal district to work in. I take on as many roles as I can at the school, from organizing school events like field day and school assemblies, to organizing and running the Washington D.C. trip for 8th graders. The students are great as well as the staff I work with. I also spend as much time as I can coaching basketball for the school (and sometimes any sport that needs a coach). The basketball program is making its way to where we want it to be and I can´t wait to see it come to fruition.
Outside of work I have a few hobbies and interests I love to pursue. The first of those is being a musician. My brother, a very good friend, and I, have been playing music together nationally for the last 10 years. We have gotten to tour the country playing our own original music and enjoying everything that this life brings our way. We have written four albums and won a few song writing awards. I have had the opportunity to play for major bands such as the Dropkick Murphy´s and meet some of the finest and most genuine people around the country.
My major focus in life is my family. I try to be the best person I can be for them. They are my major goals and my life ambitions. I have been married to my wife since 2007. She is my best friend, personal consultant, and favorite golf partner. We have two absolutely great, fantastic, adorable, ruffian young boys. They make my days filled with fun, adventure, laughs, and sometimes mischief.
