Zainab Idrees

Hello! My name is Zainab Idrees and I am a student at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, with a potential concentration in language arts through IUPUI’s Honors College as a Chancellor’s Scholar. I expect to graduate in May 2026. In this ePortfolio, I will share my experience as an intern at Eskenazi Health.

I chose to pursue elementary education because I've always wanted to work with kids, and during the pandemic, I really saw the impact teachers had on student learning, and want to be that person in someone's life. I also chose to major in psychology because I've always been interested in it, and think both majors complement each other.

In my free time, I love to read, cook and bake, pet dogs, take hikes and spend time with family and friends.
